FEBRUARY 19th

Once upon a time, February 19th was the saddest, darkest, most devastating day of my life. On February 19th my grandfather, Ernest Paul Campbell, passed away. It was an extremely difficult time for me. I won’t overwhelm you with my journey in its entirety, but I will say this…God is real, and God hears us when we pray, trust me, I know. See, the outcome may not have been exactly what I wanted, but that doesn’t mean God didn’t hear me. I prayed for God to heal my grandfather from cancer, and for him to no longer suffer…Well, he no longer suffers. He’s free from physical pain, and the cares of this world. Although, I do miss my grandfather being here physically, I see him in my dreams, and I know he’s in a better place. Now, today, February 19th I celebrate my grandfathers life and I dedicate my life to God and to what I was created to do. We all have places in our hearts that need mending. “LONELY EYES” is the one of the most personal songs I’ve ever written. I wrote it about the passing of my grandfather Ernest Paul Campbell. I never got a chance to tell him what an impact he’s made on my life. He’s apart of the reason I’m evolving into the woman I’m becoming … A strong, resilient, loving person who knows my worth. Thank you Grandpa I miss you and love you so much. I won’t let you down…
